The
Flanders Hotel |

Some Background:
Steve couldn't resist a good ghost story even though he was on
vacation. It was around 12 midnight and walking on the boardwalk
in Ocean City, New Jersey right near the Flanders Hotel he
decided he could not resist checking it out. This was more like
an informal investigation or a reconicense mission for a
possible future full blown investigation. |

Thank You:
Thank you
to the people at the front desk for sharing the stories about
The Flanders Hotel and providing some additional information
about this landmark hotel. Also thank you for letting Steve take
a look around to see what the place was like for himself. |

History:
Located on the boardwalk
in Ocean City, New Jersey and built in 1923, this hotel
is a piece of local history
and supposedly haunted. A
ghost of a lady in white has often been seen wandering through
the Flanders by both staff members and guest.
There have been sightings of a the
lady in white walking barefoot through the hall of mirrors. On
many other occasions the laughter of a young woman has been
heard throughout the building and she
has been heard singing and chuckling merrily in the many
grand rooms of the Flanders. |

Initial
Assessment: When
walking through the doors you get a feeling that you have
stepped
back into time. You certainly get the feeling that there is an
atmosphere about the place. Walking around in empty
corridors and darkened rooms you definitely get a "creepy"
feeling at times almost as if you are being watched though it
was late at night and nobody was around. |

Video: No Video was
taken. |
|

|

Audio: No Audio
anomalies were found. |
|

Pictures: Pictures
were
reviewed but nothing was found out of the ordinary. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Conclusion: I really
don't have a conclusion at this time and believe that a possible
future formal investigation may shed some light on what exactly
may be going on in The Flanders Hotel. |
